What about the role:
- Working with the Group CTO, define the Platform Engineering roadmap that aligns to Genie Solutions’ business strategy and the Magentus development technology strategy
- Drive a DevSecOps culture within the broader development team by leveraging best practices and teaching teams to do the same
- Working with the Platform Engineering team members and product development leaders to design, architect and implement optimised cloud solutions
- Implement and support tools that proactively monitor the availability of development through to production services
- Increase product delivery team velocity through constant improvement in tooling, process and workflow.
What experience do I need?
- 5+ years in high performing IT related field
- 3+ years’ people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build a highly engaged and capable team culture that values quality and customer experience
- Strength in communication, teamwork, transparency and technical leadership
- Significant exposure to AWS, GCP and their services including cloud formation, lambda, RDS, Cloudwatch
- Deep skills in operational observability tools such as Datadog
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, DevOps, and software engineering principles
- A strong foundation in security concepts, including application threat modelling, embedding security tools and testing in automated release pipelines and security incident response
- Strong exposure to the Scrum methodology.
