Financial Accountant

Short Summary:

The Financial Accountant is a key operational role supporting the UK business with analysis, information, and controls to drive quality decision making.

Working closely with the CFO and Financial Controller in the UK, the Financial Accountant assumes responsibility for balance sheet control and reporting. This involves analysing financial performance, advising the CFO on these findings, and implementing recommendations to achieve the most commercially beneficial results for the business.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide shared service functions including, but are not limited to:
  • Management reporting,
  • Analyse and prepare monthly journals and postings,
  • General Ledger reconciliations,
  • Create and manage projects within Microsoft Dynamics,
  • VAT reviews and submissions,
  • Balance Sheet management for all subsidiaries for relevant categories.
  • Assist in the completion of regulatory compliance activities as directed by the Financial Controller.
  • Business Financial Support and partnering where applicable.
  • Facilitate and prepare management reports and information.
  • Undertake financial analysis and special projects to support business planning.
  • Payroll analysis and reporting.
  • Cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are in place and are adequate for the business.

What experience do I need:

  • ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Associate Chartered Certified Accountant), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is highly desirable.
