What you’ll do:
Design Quality
- Support user-informed design decisions by contributing to research and collaborating with senior designers to understand user problems
- Define and create design artefacts, from user journeys, screen workflows and UX analysis to detailed wireframes, prototypes and final designs.
- Illustrate user journeys and information architecture using storyboards, user flows and sitemaps.
- Work embedded in cross-functional product development teams.
- Create and evolve design mock-ups efficiently and to an appropriate level of fidelity (including hi-fi when required).
- Share design work and insights with the team to support alignment with customer and business priorities
- Identify opportunities for improving UX/UI across products
- Drive the evolution of the design system and advocate for scalable, reusable design patterns across teams.
- Collaborate with areas of the business to assess the feasibility of ideas.
- Influence product direction by contributing to roadmap planning and prioritization discussions with product and engineering leadership.
What you’ll bring:
Essential
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a UI/UX or Product Designer, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- A good eye for visual design, interaction design and ability to craft products with a strong aesthetic as well as functional and intuitive.
- Strong problem-solving experience – applying design thinking to solve complex customer problems, rather than fulfilling requirements
- Being a strong team-player is required – we’re all in this together.
- Collaboration: work closely with team (Product Management, Business Analysts and Developers) to ensure that feasible solutions are delivered in a timely manner.
- Pragmatism: maximum impact over perfection.
- Ability to understand and balance user needs with business goals under guidance
- User Research: interviews, field studies, surveys, user testing, focus groups, analytics, A/B testing
- User Testing: organizing and leading user testing sessions, from recruiting users, to conducting sessions and incorporating continuous feedback into the design
- Moderate-to-high experience with Figma, familiarity with Dovetail and Miro
- Establish fast feedback cycles to iterate designs based on user feedback
- Strong communication skills, resourcefulness and troubleshooting
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Willingness to learn from senior team members and contribute to team standards by following and applying established design best practices
Strongly desirable
- Understanding of web technologies (React, JavaScript, CSS, DOM).
- Exposure to agile environments and interest in working within a SaaS business
- Technology and/or health Industry experience.
- Proven ability to influence product strategy and advocate for user-centered design at the leadership level.
