Reporting to the Product Development Manager this position will be our SME in data science, business intelligence, and data analytics and have deep experience in database design, data integration, data warehousing, modelling, along with presentation tactics and concepts.

What about the role:
- Ability to understand our underlying data and map that in the reporting solution to deliver the agreed business reporting requirements.
- Contribute to ensuring fit for purpose reporting solutions are scoped, recommended, and developed.
- Work closely with the Business Analyst teams to support the request process from end to end, including identification of key decisions where sign off is required.
- Develop the Power BI reports as outlined in the reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance to our clients that are using the Power BI solution.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy including regular periodic reviews/audit of key systems, Power BI Report access permissions and associated Power BI tenancy settings.
- Database design for new database implementations and enhancements.
- Perform performance profiling of existing databases and advise on improvements for performance.
- Additional duties as required.
What experience or qualifications do I need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer or Data Science, Engineering, or other relevant qualifications.
- Must possess experience of working with BI tools and BI systems. In addition, you must be able to build rich dashboards, and implement security.
- Minimum 2-3+ years’ experience in Power BI Report development or a similar role, including detailed scoping of requirements (including data/row level security) and demonstrated ability to deliver in a high-pressure environment.
- Proven experience in agile delivery methodology/tools and the configuration and maintenance of Power BI platforms and gateways.
- Proven experience working as a DBA with PostgreSQL DB.
- Proven experience profiling and performance improvements of databases.
- Prior experience in delivering quality reporting outcomes, with pipeline management or other quality control processes.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and oral communication skills, committed to delivery to agreed timelines.
