Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst is a subject matter expert in leading efforts across Magentus to continually build out and improve our data and analytics capability, and to continually deepen our organisational capability and maximise the value of our data.

What about the role:

  • Using statistical tools and techniques to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the broad data strategy, ensuring supporting metrics and plans are aligned to deliver against the strategic plans for the business.
  • Enable data driven business decisions with high quality insights and reporting through strong data governance and controls.
  • Foster an environment of sharing and growth for members of the Data Analytics team, as well as proactively sharing information, resources and insights across the Product Delivery Group and broader business.
  • Establish, maintain and communicate guidelines that help drive continuous improvement across Data Analytics.
  • Ensure that the Data Analytics capability delivers measurable, sustainable acceleration of customer value across all Product Delivery Group teams.
  • Support and contribute to the achievement of business objectives by performing other reasonable duties as needed and directed.

What qualifications and experience do I need:

  • Formal qualifications such as bachelor of IT, business or a related field.
  • Advanced understanding of data manipulation tools like SQL, Python, R, Excel, as well as data visualisation tools like PowerBI.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge for relational databases and query authoring (SQL).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data and analytics systems, processes, and strategies as part of the establishment and maturation of the data analytics function.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organisation to build shared understanding of the opportunities, gaps and needs in developing the data analytics function.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence stakeholders in promoting the adoption of new data strategies, frameworks, and approaches.
  • Strongly Desirable – Digital health industry experience.
