Short Summary
The Training Lead (Pathology) will work to develop new and innovative blended learning to facilitate the training and deployment of our Pathology Product Range. Taking ownership of the design and delivery of the Pathology Training Strategy and creating effective content, which facilitates an exceptional user experience and ensures customers are trained to the required standards and timelines ahead of system go-live.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Working to develop and deliver high quality training courses which are aimed at providing knowledge and understanding of the new concepts, procedures and functionality introduced by Evolution vLab™.
- Utilising a variety of training deliver styles including Cascade (Train the Trainer) Training and end user training to customers, as well as internal system training to colleagues via either a face-to-face classroom setting or remotely using MS Teams.
- Liaising with customer stakeholders and internal stakeholders regarding training planning, training project timelines and flagging any issues and risks to ensure projects are kept on plan and on schedule
- Producing formal training evaluation and training reports, which will be customer facing and utilised by external and internal stakeholders to ensure continuous service monitoring and lessons learnt opportunities.
- Working with relevant parties to develop and maintain supporting training documentation via the evaluation of product software updates and technical release notes which must then be translated into system documentation and associated course developments which are appropriate and effective to a varied audience.
- Continuously improving self-knowledge through consultation and knowledge sharing with internal teams such as Projects, Product, Development, Sales, and Support.
- Training Courses will typically take place on-site within our customer base and consequently travelling to site and working away from home on a regular basis is a standard part of this role. It is for this reason that a full driving license and access to your own vehicle insured for business use is an essential requirement.
- This role will also be working closely with colleagues in both the UK and Australia and may therefore require flexibility across timezones
Experience Required:
- Practical LIMS System Knowledge gained from demonstrable experience as a system user or trainer.
- Proven experience of delivering engaging application training in a variety of different formats including classroom-based, small group and 1:1 training both in person and via MS Teams.
- Excellent working knowledge of standard operating processes within Pathology Departments / Disciplines and their application to a Laboratory Information Management System.
- Ability to provide application demonstrations and workflow seminars for larger groups of delegates.
- Full driving license and appropriate vehicle insured for business use
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline.
- Experience of MadCap Flare Helpfiles Authoring or equivalent.
- Experience of delivering remote training delivery using Teams or similar remote platform.
- Knowledge of SCORM and common LMS types, formats, and standards desirable but not essential.
