Sonic Radiology is Australia’s second-largest diagnostic imaging provider, with more than 130 radiology centres and 300 specialist radiologists operating across every state. The network brings together eight well-established regional and state-based imaging practices under a single group, each with strong local ties and sub-specialty expertise.

With the Sonic Radiology integration in Genie® and Gentu®, you can send radiology eRequests directly to your patient’s preferred imaging centre and track every request in real time, from submission through to completed report.

What you can do

Send radiology eRequests: Order imaging studies directly from Genie® or Gentu® and send them digitally to your patient’s preferred Sonic imaging centre. Requests are delivered securely to the nominated provider, your patient receives an SMS with their referral, and you can monitor the status of every request without picking up the phone.

Receive results: Radiology reports from the Sonic network are delivered directly into your patient’s clinical record as soon as they’re available.

eRequests are free to use for Genie® and Gentu® customers.

Genie®

To activate radiology eRequests in Genie®, you’ll need to be on version 10.2.2 or above. Set up Sonic radiology eRequests in Genie®.

Gentu®

In Gentu®, simply select a eRequest-enabled imaging centre from the lab menu in the Request window to get started.
