As part of the implementation, Conductor connects Evolution vLab with pathology analysers and referral channels including HealthLink and Medical Objects. The project shows how a laboratory information management system and a healthcare interoperability platform can work together to create a more connected diagnostic service, without requiring replacement of the core laboratory system.
Conductor automates the receipt, transformation, validation, and routing of pathology information between systems, reducing manual handling and transcription risk and improving operational efficiency across pathology workflows.
By simplifying how diagnostic information moves between analysers, referral systems, and laboratory platforms, Eastern Health is building a more resilient and connected pathology service. Laboratory teams will spend less time managing interfaces, investigating integration issues, and maintaining manual workarounds, and more time on laboratory operations and service delivery.
