MIMS and Active Ingredient Prescribing

From the 1st February 2021 all PBS/RPBS prescriptions will require the inclusion of active ingredient name(s) except for:

• Handwritten prescriptions
• Paper-based medication charts in residential aged care settings
• Excluded medicinal items
  • Medicinal items with four or more active ingredients
  • Other items excluded for safety or practicality reasons
