A revolutionary healthcare approach that connects every aspect of a cancer patient’s care into one central system has been launched at Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton.
The regional Queensland hospital has joined four of Mater’s South-East Queensland hospitals in introducing Magentus’s market-leading Charm Evolution® oncology information management solution to enhance chemotherapy treatment delivery, boosting the hospital’s capacity to provide safe and timely patient care.
Spurred by the system’s success across its network of hospitals in other locations, Mater has introduced the oncology information management system as the Rockhampton hospital’s first centralised cancer patient record.
The move has created standardisation across all Mater facilities and opened the door for administration and system support across the Mater network. It also boosts the ability to relocate patients to other Mater facilities during treatment, offering continuity of patient records.
Under the implementation with Magentus (formerly Citadel Health), Charm Evolution® is providing clinicians with a rich yet simple set of tools to assist in all aspects of the patient journey, freeing up care teams to spend more time on direct patient care.
Charm Evolution® recently became the first digital oncology management solution to achieve integration with My Health Record and is being adopted by major health services across the country, including a new contract with Monash Health.
